The Rock Hotel in Gibraltar is recruiting an experienced Houseperson to join its Housekeeping team.

The successful candidate will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.

Responsibilities include:

• Supporting housekeeping staff with daily cleaning and room preparation.
• Assisting with laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding and distributing linens and towels.
• Maintaining public areas such as hallways, lounges, stairways, elevators and restrooms.
• Replenishing housekeeping supplies, guest amenities and cleaning trolleys.
• Moving furniture and equipment when required.
• Reporting maintenance, damage or security concerns promptly.
• Following hotel policies and procedures for safety, hygiene and guest privacy.
• Providing friendly and professional service to guests and colleagues.

Applicants should have:

• At least two years of experience as a Houseman or Houseperson, preferably in a four or five star hotel.
• Excellent attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Good organisational and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques and housekeeping equipment.
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• The ability to stand, walk, bend and lift throughout the working day.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
