We are a full-service independent Gibraltar law firm with a reputation for excellence since 1905. We have a respected and highly sought-after family and divorce practice that is seeking an experienced and motivated Lawyer to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will manage a broad range of family and divorce matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to clients navigating sensitive and often complex personal situations.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on divorce and judicial separation matters.
  • Advising on financial matters and financial relief applications.
  • Advising on child arrangements, including maintenance, contact, relocation and parental responsibility issues.
  • Acting on adoption and surrogacy matters.
  • Drafting court documents, agreements and legal correspondence.
  • Representing clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings.
  • Managing a varied caseload efficiently and independently.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships through professional and empathetic service.
  • Contributing to the continued growth and development of our family and divorce practice.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Gibraltar qualification as a barrister or solicitor, or equivalent legal professional.
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience in matrimonial and family law (more experienced candidates are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong technical knowledge of family law principles and procedures.
  • Excellent advocacy, drafting and negotiation skills.
  • A compassionate and client-focused approach.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organisational and case management skills.
  • High standards of professionalism, discretion and integrity.
