Credit Operations Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Credit Operations Specialist to join our Credit Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for a banking professional with experience in lending administration, credit operations, or loan servicing to play a key role in supporting the Bank's Retail, Corporate, and Real Estate lending portfolios.
The successful candidate will be responsible for administering credit facilities throughout their lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation, effective controls, regulatory compliance, and excellent service to both internal stakeholders and clients.
Working closely with Relationship Managers, Credit Risk, Legal Advisors, and other stakeholders, you will support the processing, amendment, renewal, monitoring, and remediation of credit facilities while helping maintain high standards of operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer credit facilities across Retail, Corporate, and Real Estate lending portfolios.
- Prepare and process facility documentation, including facility letters and security documents.
- Maintain accurate lending records and ensure robust record keeping.
- Prepare complete and compliant files for drawdown and disbursement.
- Process facility amendments, renewals, reviews, and ongoing monitoring requirements.
- Support remediation activities relating to existing lending facilities.
- Maintain accurate security documentation and records.
- Liaise with legal advisers and external stakeholders on lending and security matters.
- Support Relationship Managers and client-facing teams with credit administration activities.
- Prepare management information and lending portfolio reports for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and operational excellence projects.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within banking operations, lending operations, credit administration, loan servicing, or a similar financial services environment.
- Good understanding of lending products and credit facility administration.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build effective working relationships across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and banking systems.
- Commitment to maintaining regulatory and compliance standards.
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Credit Risk principles and lending documentation.
- Experience supporting Corporate, Retail, or Real Estate lending portfolios.
- Experience working with security documentation and collateral administration.
- Banking, lending, compliance, or finance-related professional qualifications.
- Knowledge of the Gibraltar or wider banking regulatory environment.
