Claims Team Leader - Gadget Insurance

Taurus Insurance Services is recruiting an experienced Claims Team Leader for its growing business in Gibraltar.

This hands-on role leads a small, high-performing team, drives performance, and holds overall ownership of the Fraud and Special Investigation Unit functions. The successful applicant will combine strong technical claims expertise with an interest in process improvement, data, technology and AI.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching and developing claims handlers while driving performance and service standards.
• Overseeing end-to-end claims handling and ensuring fair, accurate and compliant decisions.
• Reviewing and authorising complex or high-value claims and providing technical guidance.
• Managing fraud detection and investigations, with ownership of the Special Investigation Unit function.
• Analysing claims and fraud data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Driving process improvements through digital tools and automation.
• Monitoring KPIs and producing clear performance and fraud reports.

Requirements include:

• At least five years of insurance claims experience, preferably in gadget or property insurance.
• Experience in a Team Leader, Supervisor or Senior Claims position.
• Strong technical claims knowledge and sound decision-making.
• Proven fraud investigation experience.
• Confident leadership and people-management skills.
• An analytical mindset and interest in data and technology.
